With this spirit in mind, we recently attended an exclusive tasting event hosted at Teatro del Sale, organized by Distribuzione Etica.

Among the many remarkable wineries present, two in particular stood out.

The first is Luca Marengo, a producer that we can confidently describe as a delightful discovery. His wines express a strong sense of character and identity, deeply rooted in their territory of origin. Each bottle reflects a thoughtful approach to winemaking, where tradition and authenticity are preserved while still allowing the uniqueness of the vineyard to shine through. These are wines that speak clearly of place—honest, structured, and memorable

The second winery that captured our attention brings us beyond Italy, to Spain—specifically the renowned Rioja region. Here we encountered Jade Gross, whose wines represent a fresh and modern interpretation of Rioja. Elegance is the defining feature of her work: refined, balanced, and crafted with a strong focus on drinkability. These are wines that challenge expectations, offering a lighter, more contemporary expression without losing their depth or regional identity.
